DBC-Architects-PDX-Concourse-Elevator

Project Summary + Solution

DBC designed PDX’s largest elevator – a new 8’ wide, 9’ high, 15’ deep, 12,000-pound capacity hydraulic freight elevator – located on the north side of Concourse C. Accessible directly from the airfield, it serves both main levels of PDX. The project included expanding the TSA security boundary to the lower level corridors, reconfiguring Port and tenant support spaces, and rerouting the main HVAC system serving the central portion of Concourse C. PDX now has a freight elevator large enough to support post-security operational and construction related needs.
